Abstract
Lean and the term ‘sustainability’ overlap in their intent. Traditionally there have been two central views
to sustainability: Lean manufacturing as a source of sustainable competitive advantage, and Lean supports
sustainability indicators in tri-pillars: economic, social, and environmental sustainability. Many studies explore the
effect of Lean manufacturing practice on environmental, social, and financial to companies; however, there has been
still a lack of clear and adequate measure Lean-sustainable competitive advantages. This study aims to examine
whether Lean create sustainable competitive advantages dimension related to sustainability via the citation context
analysis method. The claim that no one could have guaranteed Lean is enough to ensure sustainability
