Abstract
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, traditional teacher-centered teaching has been replaced with learner-centered teaching models. The flipped classroom model has been considered effective by the researchers in the circumstance in which both teachers and students are not able to be present in physical classrooms because of strict Covid-19 prevention regulations; instead, they both teach and study online from flippedclassrooms approach. This paper aims to investigate the usage of lecture videos in flipped classroom model in order to clarify what teachers and learners need to do to utilize instructional videos effectively in online classrooms. There has been an argument that the teachers should deploy YouTube videos or they should produce their own lecture videos for flippedclassrooms. The paper also reviews previous studies related to the utility of lecture videos in the flipped-classroom approach to shed light on lecture videos in flippedclassrooms. From the findings on using lecture videos in flipped classroom model, the paper gives some implications for using instructional videos and suggestions for future research on lecture videos in flippedclassrooms
